      The Guitar online Course is a dynamic and engaging program designed to immerse students in various guitar playing styles over a 4-week period. Each week focuses on a specific style, exploring the techniques, repertoire, and signature sounds of key artists within that genre. By focusing on diverse guitar styles and featuring renowned artists, participants gain valuable insights and techniques that are both inspiring and practical.

      • Hindustani Fusion Composition

        The Hindustani Fusion Composition online course is for musicians and enthusiasts eager to fuse Hindustani classical music with contemporary Western styles over the period of 4-weeks. Led by Anirudh Varma - founder of the popular Anirudh Varma Collective, the course will offer a deep dive into Hindustani theory, focusing on ragas, melodic development, and harmonization, with practical application in modern pop compositions. Participants will gain hands-on experience in blending these traditions to create innovative fusion music.

        • Music Production - Ableton Live 101

          The Ableton Live 101 online course offers a detailed introduction to audio production using Ableton Live over the period of 5-weeks. Students will gain foundational skills in DAW navigation, editing, automation, mixing, and explore various virtual instruments within Ableton Live. Led by Ableton Certified Trainer - Satyam Sangwan, this course is designed for beginners aiming to build a strong base in music production using Ableton Live.

          • 3. Explore and utilize Ableton Live’s virtual instruments, including Analog, Wavetable, and Operator, effectively.

          • Music Production - Logic 101

            The Logic 101 short online course offers an introductory exploration of Logic Pro X, designed to take participants from basic setup to creating their first complete track, in the period of 5-weeks. Led by engineer Harshit Verma, each week will cover fundamental aspects of using Logic Pro X, including MIDI composition, drum programming, basic mixing, and essential production techniques.

            • Music Therapy

              Introduction to Music Therapy by Purvaa Sampath is a 5-week course for individuals interested in understanding music beyond performance and skill. The participants will learn how music impacts the mind and body and how it can be used therapeutically in clinical, educational, medical and community settings. This course will help lay the foundation to understanding how music therapy works, what it means to train to be a music therapist and how elements of music can be used intentionally in our lives to emphasize its impact.

              • How to Apply?

                Go to the “Apply Now” option of the course you’d like to opt for, and fill up the form with all the necessary details

              • Can I enrol in more than one course?

                If your strengths, knowledge and aspirations align with each course then we certainly want you to get the best experience from the GMI Mentors. So, yes, you may please apply for more than one course if you wish. Once your application is reviewed for the necessary criteria, and subject to no clash in the schedule, you will get a confirmation from the Admissions Office.

              • What platform will be used?

                Each session will be conducted through a virtual platform using a videoconferencing application such as Zoom or Google Meet. A session link will be emailed to you before it starts. All you have to do is download the required app, install it on your computer and click on the link to join the session. Each session may have an ID and password to enter. You will be made to wait in a virtual waiting room before the session begins if you click the link earlier than the scheduled time. It is advised to use a computer or laptop to engage effectively in the course.

              • Will I have to make an additional investment for this course?

                It would be advised that you have access to a laptop or desktop with an optimal internet connection, headphones, (camera and microphone- for desktops). Assuming that all of you have a computer at home, you will not need to make any additional investment for this mode of learning to take effect.

              • How will I get access to additional material by the artist?

                The Online Learning Management System (LMS) will be updated regularly and you will have independent access to this portal for the duration of the course. In addition to this the Academics Office will regularly communicate via email.

              • What is an LMS?

                LMS is a Learning Management System (LMS) portal, which is a very effective mode of accessing and engaging with course related content online. For the course, the LMS portal will be uploaded with course content including videos, quizzes, assignment, etc. Each session will also be video recorded and uploaded on the LMS, which you can access for the duration of the course.

              • What if I have questions that I have to ask during the session?

                You can type in your question in the chat box or you can send your question over LMS.

              • Will I get a certificate of completion at the end of the course?

                Once you successfully complete the course, which would include attending all the sessions and submitting the required coursework / assignments satisfactorily, you will be issued a certificate of completion.
