Ipshita Roy on Voice Week at GMI
” I had a great time at GMI”s Voice Week at all three sessions conducted, whether with Jamie, Sachal or Gina and Raul. Each of these sessions covered a wide range of genres and had a very different approach.
While Jamie focused more on technique and basic foundations necessary for singers; Sachal, Gina and Raul focused more on the feel of the music and performance. Voice Week was very comprehensive and I am so happy that GMI took the initiative to organise it, because in most cases similar workshops organized across Delhi focus less on singers or vocalists and more on instrumentalists. The Week was a refreshing change in perspective and I look forward to more such workshops.”
